About the project

some details

Navak is the graduation project of UQAM’s 2022 Interactive Media cohort. It was an interactive, luminous walking path of the Centre de la nature de Laval, allowing visitors, equipped with a lantern, to discover a magical world in which trees transform heartbeats into light.
The experience took place from May 20 to 23, 2022, and invited visitors to wander along a path where a number of interactive works had been installed.

About the project

Display and storytelling panels

I was in charge of creating the designs for all the narrative and sign panels along the circuit. I was in charge of producing all the display panels, which meant cutting the wood planks, engraving the wood with a laser-cutting machine, then sanding and varnishing each panel.

Course map

I was in charge of creating the course map with icons representing the highlights and key moments of the course. Once the map design had been engraved on the wooden board, we came along to paint certain elements of the map with fluorescent paint to make them stand out.

Signage panels

I also created panels for each icon of the important elements of the route found on the map. After creating the design, I used a vinyl cutting machine to glue the vinyl onto acrylic panels that had been sandblasted to create a frosted effect.
